Family Reunion

Mr. B and I had a great time at my family reunion on Sunday. There was good food, good people and good fun. The weather could have been better, it rained off and on but that's been the story of our summer so far. My dad and a couple of my uncles brought their canoes so we had fun with those as well!

My sister and I showed up in matching outfits. This never fails. No wonder people ask us if we are twins. At least when we lived with each other we were able to plan so that we didn't match but that's not the case anymore. We both had on our lululemon sweatshirts (mine is pink, hers is blue). I had on black yoga pants, she had on black yoga capris. Yep, we're that cool. I love my sister (her boyfriend is another story, but I just keep telling myself it's a phase).

Naturally I forgot to bring my camera so Mr. B had to use his phone to take some pictures. Of course the only photos he took of me were when I was either just about to go canoeing, was actually in the canoe or just got back from canoeing. So just for the record, even though the photos show it, I didn't wear the bright orange lifejacket the entire day. I swear I'm normal ;)

Here's some photos of the day (like I said, they were taken from Mr. B's phone and focus on the whole canoeing aspect of our day):

First one is of my cousin and I. As soon as we got out there the rain started so naturally we turned around and came back in. We just told everybody we're that good and it only took us 5 minutes to circle the lake.

Next picture is of me hanging out with my cousin's son. He has to be one of the cutest kids I know. Please remember, I was just about to go out in the canoe again so that's why I had the lifejacket on AGAIN. I promise.
And last but not least Mrs. B enjoys a canoe ride with her dad:
And where was Mr. B you ask? Why didn't he take his new bride in the canoe? He refuses to go with me because he says I move too much and he's afraid I'm going to make us tip over. Haha! I just say he's a wimp.
Stay tuned....the next adventure in our lives as newlyweds is a camping trip this weekend with some friends. I'm excited, let's hope the weather holds out for us, I really need to get some form of a tan before the summer is over! Mr. B has all sorts of plans but really I just want to lay out at the beach!

Wedding Pictures

As promised I am going to post some of my favourite wedding pictures. I'm warning you there are many photos but to be fair I had tons to choose from, but then again doesn't every bride?

Hope you enjoy them!

The first few are of us getting ready:
This next one is my favourite of my older (and only sister). She was my maid of honour:
The next couple are just a few more candid type shots outside my parents house:
Now moving on to the ceremony and reception. Everything was held at the same location (at a heritage village). The church was built in 1854 and we absolutely loved it. A heritage village wedding wouldn't be complete without a horse and carriage:
Mr. B having a laugh with one of his groomsmen. Everybody told me Mr. B was remarkably calm that morning:
I love this next shot of our guests in the church waiting for the ceremony to begin:
My father and I arriving in the carriage:
The next set are ceremony shots, pretty self explanatory:
This is another one of my favourite shots. It's most of our guests outside the church after the cermony:
A nice, relaxed shot of our bridal party
This next picture makes me so happy. It's my parents with everybody that was in their wedding party 34 years later.
Finally, a "detail shot" This is our wedding cake that my Aunt made us. The cake topper is two love birds sitting in our nest. Our theme (on the stationary at least) was love birds and I loved this cake topper:

And although there are plenty more I would love to share with you, I'm sure you've seen enough. Thanks for looking.
Stay tuned for another post...Mr. B and I are off to a family reunion tomorrow, should be interesting!

Introduction

Yes, I know. Another blog by a 20 something newlywed. Like the world needs another one to add to the millions that are already out there. I for one, love reading blogs by 20 something newlyweds which is why I decided I would give it a try.

My life isn't the most thrilling of all, but I will try to make this blog as exciting as I can. I'm definitely clumsy in all aspects of life so bear with me as I try to post entries about cooking, decorating, etc. I always think in my head that I am so domestic but when I try to put idea into action it often doesn't work out the way I dreamed it would. Trust me, you'll see in my future blogs.

As for now I am leaving you guys with a sneak preview of my wedding pics. Stay tuned for another post where I will share the rest of my fave pics with you.

I look forward to sharing our adventures in married life with you (hopefully on a regular basis)
